We want this to be a positive experience for everyone and to ensure that everyone's needs are met. Here's how you can have the best experience when shopping in our market.
1.) Bring Reusable Shopping Bags:
Please bring your own bags to help reduce waste and make your shopping experience smoother.
2.) Dress for the Weather:
The food bank is experiencing high volumes of visitors. Be prepared in case you need to wait outside, and please dress appropriately for the weather. Wait times are typically shorter on Wednesdays and Thursday evenings.
3.) Check-In Upon Arrival:
When you arrive:
a. Check in at the table outside to add your name to the waitlist.
b. If you have a cell phone, please provide your phone number so we can text you when it's your turn. We have a limited number of buzzers, for those who do not have a phone. Additionally, a cell phone is more reliable than a buzzer and we prefer to use this method.
c. If you're shopping for additional households, please add their names to the wait list at this time. You will need to shop for your own household first, then get back in line to shop for the additional household. Please note that everyone living at the same address is considered one household, even if they are from separate families.
4.) Wait in Your Car or Designated Areas:
After adding your name to the waitlist, please return to your car or wait on the sidewalk or benches. Do not stand in the street, near the door, or by the waitlist table. Keep the doorway clear to allow space for returning shopping carts. If you use a crate to sit on, kindly return it to its original spot once you're called.
5.) Entering the Building:
Once you’re called, please enter the building and wait in the line on the left side to check in.
6.) Check-In Procedure:
To check in, please provide your birthdate or identification so we can locate your name in our system.
7.) Shopping Guidelines:
• Only one shopping trip per household is allowed each shopping week and each household may use only one grocery cart.
• If another IFCB client is assisting with your shopping, they must wait for their turn and do their shopping separately.
8.) Follow Shopping Guidelines:
• All household members shopping together should remain together at all times.
• Please wait your turn and stay in line.
• Follow all posted signage regarding available item limits per household.
• Only one visit per household is permitted at the toiletry closet.
9.) Exiting the Building:
Once you exit through the side door, please do not re-enter through that door.
10.) Return Your Cart:
After unloading your cart, please return it to the main front door so that the next shopper can use it.
