Steve was looking for volunteer opportunities with the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank when this role lured him out of retirement in June 2022. He is now a vital part of the staff team, helping with marketing, event planning, grant writing, newsletters, social media, fundraising and events. He is delighted and humbled to be in a position to help such a vital cause.
Steve’s career has spanned newspaper writing, magazine editing and management, online content since the earliest days of the web, 20+ years of marketing leadership, retirement, and now giving back. Steve and his wife, Anne, are Southern California natives who adopted the Seattle area as their home in 2012. Their son lives in Maple Valley, and they live near Mirrormont when they’re not visiting their daughter and granddaughter in Southern California or engaging their passion for traveling the world
