Niaz was born on the Caribbean island of Jamaica and brings a broad international perspective, having also lived in countries such as Botswana, India, and Ukraine. His diverse experiences have shaped his passion for helping others, which he now channels into his role as Data and IT Strategy Manager at the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank.
After earning a medical degree in 2015, Niaz pursued his long-standing interest in technology, later completing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington. Niaz is excited to apply his knowledge and experience to support the organization’s mission. His enthusiasm for problem-solving and helping others aligns perfectly with the IFCB's commitment to building a connected and supportive community.
In his free time, Niaz enjoys keeping fit with calisthenics, practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and diving into a good strategy board game with friends.
