Board Member

Mariah is a passionate business and social impact executive, small business owner, and former Issaquah City Councilmember. Her background spans the private, public, and non-profit sectors with experience in business operations, human capital management, social impact, organizational design/effectiveness, human services, economic development, legislation, and public policy.

Mariah has always cared deeply about giving back to her community through public service and volunteerism, recently serving as an elected Issaquah City Councilmember, Council Leader, Commissioner, and on multiple Boards of Directors focusing on Human (Social) Services,  Economic Development, Legislation and Public Policy. Mariah also has experience building Corporate Philanthropy programs and is passionate about continuing to develop impactful tri-sector partnerships, for the benefit of the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank and the greater community.

Mariah is originally from Montana and has lived in the Northwest with her family for years, including over 20 years in Issaquah.   Since moving to Issaquah she has been a proud supporter and volunteer for the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank.   When her children were in elementary and middle school, Mariah chaired community outreach programs, which often included food drives and food bank volunteer work. This gave her the ability, as a busy working parent, to find time to share her passion for giving back to the community with her children (and all their friends!)  She has seen this passion for giving become ingrained in both her daughter and son’s lives – which fills her with pride. Mariah is honored to have joined the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank’s Board of Directors.
